Spend a year, semester, or trimester attending high school in your host community. You’ll live with a carefully chosen AFS host family for a truly immersive experience.
AFS provides training, orientation, and activities before, during, and after your stay, helping you connect with young people from around the world.
Students don’t wear uniforms but remove their shoes and wear slippers. Classes run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and cover Czech language and literature, foreign languages, history, geography, math, sciences, and physical education.
Some schools offer optional mountain trips in winter or summer. Clubs like drama, sports, dance, choir, and more are available, with most students joining one or two activities per week.
AFS helps people of all ages and backgrounds develop the knowledge, skills, and understanding needed to connect with diverse people, succeed in a global environment, and contribute to a positive impact on the world.
